Stadium Blackjack continues to expand throughout the country. The latest casino to add the large multi-seat gaming units to the casino floor is in Connecticut. Foxwoods resort casino expanded its gaming portfolio with the addition of Rainmaker Stadium from NOVOMATIC. This dynamic stadium gaming experience marks the opening of the Rainmaker Casino.
Rainmaker Stadium will feature thirty (30) betting terminals. This isn’t video blackjack as there will be three live dealers offering Blackjack games and Mini-Baccarat games. The live dealers in this installation are actually projected onto a large HD video screen.
Rainmaker Stadium features multi-gaming functionality that allows players to seamlessly toggle between various games at the push of a button. Each terminal comes equipped with charging stations and beverage holders. The minimum bet for both games is $5. Of course, there are side bets available too.
Play Up To Six Games At Once
Rainmaker Stadium’s unique concept allows players to enjoy Blackjack and Mini-Baccarat simultaneously, including the ability to place multiple side-bets on Mini-Baccarat. Each terminal can be expanded so that guests can play up to six different games at the same time.
If guests are playing that many games at the same time there’s a good chance they’re not paying full attention to any game. Lack of attention may not matter too much with some games. However, blackjack is a game of skill and difficult enough to play without distractions. Every wrong basic strategy play affects the overall house edge.
Another downside of the large games is the lack of individual attention from the blackjack dealer. The larger gaming units don’t allow the personal touch of a dealer checking to see if a player really wants to hit a 16 when the dealer has a bust card showing. I ran into this situation over the weekend. I was ordering a drink and not paying total attention to the game. Thankfully the dealer waited on me before hitting.

Foxwoods Already Planning More Stadium Games For 2018
Rainmaker Stadium is the second Stadium Gaming area at Foxwoods. Earlier this year the casino added Interblock’s Pulse Arena. There are already plans for Foxwoods to add a third Stadium Gaming installation in 2018.
Due to the high demand for stadium gaming, Foxwoods will open an additional 24 terminals and three new games in the Fox Tower in 2018. Players in the Rainmaker Stadium and Fox Tower will be able to participate in games at both locations. As I referenced earlier, this will allow each guest to play six table games at once from each station.
