I’m a recreational gambler that’s always looking to mix sharp gameplay with a fun time. Part of the fun playing casino blackjack games is the environment. Casino music helps create an atmosphere for the players. It’s holiday season and the music is a little different than usual in every casino.
Christmas music has its ups and downs. This makes for a unique ambiance when playing blackjack. Some holiday songs are happy and peppy while others are dull and sleepy.
Some Christmas music can be so slow that they feel like a speedbump while the table is jamming. Then there are a few strange Christmas songs that stand apart and are completely distracting.
The best Christmas songs to hear when playing blackjack are similar to the best music you hear while gambling every day. The best casino music barely stands out but is recognizable. You might notice it’s there but it doesn’t overwhelm the senses.
We all have our favorite Christmas songs but it takes a special song to stand out from the pack when playing blackjack in a casino. According to Billboard “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey is the number one Christmas song.
“All I Want For Christmas Is You” is one of the most perfect Christmas songs to hear in a casino. Reaction to this song is never very strong in either direction. Few people absolutely love or hate this song.
This is just another mediocre mid-tempo song that fits in with most other casino music. The table doesn’t miss a beat because the song doesn’t stand out. Most blackjack players will notice that it’s another holiday song and move on with the game.
“All I Want For Christmas Is You” is the antithesis of the Chipmunks Christmas Song that stands out like a sore thumb. The latter song feels like a record scratching when the casino decides to include it in their holiday rotation. I walked out of a casino playing the Chipmunks song earlier this week. I tend to have long gambling sessions and didn’t want to hear that again.
We all have different preferences for holiday music. Some of my favorites are also the perfect tempo for music to listen to when hitting the tables in the casino. In no particular order, here are my favorite Christmas songs to hear when playing blackjack.
Band-Aid: Do They Know It’s Christmas
This song is a head bopper. It just keeps the game moving forward and that’s what makes a good song to hear when playing blackjack.
Andy Williams: It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
The positivity of this song gives hope that the current blackjack session will be a profitable one!
Wham: Last Christmas
This song reminds me of good times during the holiday season when I was growing up.
Paul McCartney: Wonderful Christmastime
This is another head bopper and one of my favorite songs to hear anywhere during the holidays. “Wonderful Christmastime” has everything you would want to hear while playing blackjack.
This song has that perfect tempo and the repeated “simply having a wonderful Christmastime” is so positive that there’s no way there will be a bad blackjack session.
