Blackjack players will soon have multiple new casinos to visit in Missouri and Nebraska. The casinos will bring “Vegas-Style” gaming to both states.
The scope of all three casinos will be a little different. Let’s take a look.
Osage Casino – Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri
Last year, Osage Nation announced it was planning to build a casino in the Lakes of the Ozarks in Missouri. This year, the Tribe announced more information on the new Missouri casino which will be part of an entertainment district.
“We look forward to collaborative work with the local community and state of Missouri,” said Osage Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear. “We will provide positive economic benefits to the Osage people, as well as those who reside on Osage ancestral lands.”
The new property will be built in phases. Construction will begin once there’s approval from the Department of Interior. Of course, the casino will be a part of the first phase. Here’s what we know will be included in phase 1 of construction:
- Casino
- Sports bar
- Restaurant
- Meeting space
Phase one will also include a hotel with a variety of rooms and suites, a fitness and exercise facility, a pool and hot tub, as well as a pool bar.
The expansion will include more casino space as well as additional food and beverage outlets. Specific details about the blackjack games at the new Osage casino in the Ozarks will come closer to the opening date.
There’s no opening date yet since construction is awaiting approval.
Nebraska WarHorse Casinos
The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is partnering with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association to create Warhorse Casino in Omaha. The company hopes to break ground on the project by late spring.
WarHorse Casino Omaha will introduce casino gaming at the existing Horsemen’s Park racing track. Before the full casino is built, there should be a temporary gaming machine space ready for gamblers 10 months after construction begins.
The newest animation of WarHorse Casino Omaha (above) includes a more detailed visual description of the updated casino tower entrance and layout of the property.
The video shows an expanded gaming floor, horse racing simulcast area along with a new sportsbook. When the full casino is completed there will be approximately 1,200 as well as gaming tables.
WarHorse Casino Omaha will also have live entertainment, bars, a food hall, and a coffee shop.
While WarHorse Casino Omaha will be built at an existing venue, WarHorse Casino Lincoln will be brand new. WarHorse Casino Lincoln should open sooner than the Omaha casino since it doesn’t have the challenges of being built where’s there will be demolition along with construction.
Here’s the rendering video for WarHorse Casino Lincoln for a look at what this casino should look like when construction is complete.
