After years of development and changes to plans, Legends Bay Casino in Sparks, NV will open on Aug. 30. Legends Bay Casino will cap off its opening week by hosting a free firework show on Friday, September 2.
“It’s an honor and a privilege for us to open the first new casino in northern Nevada in a very long time,” said Garry Goett, Chairman and CEO of Olympia Companies. “We have been working tirelessly to bring this project to life for many years, and we are very excited to share it with the community. From our one of kind restaurants to the very first Circa Sports Sportsbook, we have designed Legends Bay Casino to offer the best in class in gaming, dining, and sports.”
Legends Bay Casino isn’t the traditional casino resort tourists think about when planning a visit to Nevada. This is a casino-only property with a few unique dining options. It’s located next to the Outlets at Legends mall.
This property will be northern Nevada’s first new casino built from the ground up in over 20 years. The new property will bring 80,000-square-feet of gaming space to northern Nevada.
Legends Bay Casino Blackjack
The gaming area at Legends Bay Casino will have a modest 10 table games. The majority of the gaming space at the casino will be dedicated to machine games.
Like most casinos today there should also be some electronic table game (ETG) installations. Details on these specific machines have not been revealed. Like video poker, ETGs usually fall under the “slot machine” category since they’re technically machine games.
Five of the 10 table games at Legends Bay Casino will be blackjack. Two of the five blackjack games will be single-deck. The rest of the blackjack games will be dealt from a shoe.
In a statement, Legends Bay Casino says it will offer “favorite pay tables” for different games. It’s probably safe to say this will include 3:2 blackjack games.
Blackjack games will offer the Royal Match side bet. This is one of the more simple side bets available in casinos.
Players simply place an optional Royal Match wager. The player will win if the first two cards are suited. That’s it.
Winners are paid based on the match they receive. The royal match is a suited king and queen. This bet will usually pay 25 to 1 depending on the casino.
More Gambling At Legends Bay Casino
Legends Bay Casino will open with a total of 10 table games. Five of those games will be blackjack as previously discussed.
The following five table games will also be available when the new casino opens its doors.
- Craps
- Roulette
- Three Card Poker
- Pai Gow Poker
- Ultimate Texas Hold’em
The 80,000 square foot casino floor will also have 650 video poker and slot machines. Legends Bay Casino will also have a high-limit slot room.
In a nod to local gamblers, Legends Bay Casino will also offer Live Keno. This game doesn’t exist in many newer casinos in Nevada that are geared towards tourists.
Legends Bay Casino will also be the home to the only full-service Circa sportsbook in northern Nevada. The space will have a capacity of nearly 140 people.
The Circa sportsbook will have a variety of seating options. There will be multiple 60” TVs around the space. Most people will focus their attention on the 10-by-15-foot Daktronics video board that will display live odds and six games.
The Legends Bay Casinos players club will be known as LB Rewards. All members can earn and redeem points. The loyalty club will also allow players to receive exclusive Flash Play games on the machine.
Unlike some Nevada casino rewards programs, all players using their LB Rewards card will be eligible for promotions such as point multipliers. Many casinos geared towards gamblers require players to visit a kiosk prior to playing in order to make themselves eligible for promotions. This is a very player-friendly offering from Legends Bay Casino
